Since receiving its charter in 1835, Marietta College has provided a strong liberal arts foundation to generations of students, empowering them to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers and agents of change. The college focuses on preparing students to thrive in diverse surroundings, to positively affect their chosen professions and to stand out as leaders in their communities. Through programs such as Study Abroad, the Charles Sumner Harrison Organization, community service projects and a far-reaching goal to foster and celebrate diversity and multiculturalism, Marietta’s 1,400 students have a wealth of opportunities to share their unique backgrounds and forge relationships with others striving to do the same.
