Fast Facts
A small, historically black college located in Hawkins, Texas, Jarvis Christian College provides students with both a strong liberal arts education and the support structure to be successful. Its size makes it particularly equipped to reach students on an individual level; in fact, the school’s motto is “The College With The Personal Touch.” Academically motivated students, especially those in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) disciplines, can especially benefit from a Jarvis education, as the school has special programs for all of these constituencies.
