McKendree University’s successful history includes graduates that have served as educators, physicians, state and federal legislators, representatives, congressmen and founders of universities and medical schools. Founded by Methodist missionaries in 1828, McKendree continues to serve students at the small, private university in Lebanon, IL, just 20 miles from St. Louis, MO. The university is mission-driven to encourage broader vision, enriched purpose, engagement with community, commitment to responsible citizenship, openness to new ideas and dedication to lifelong learning.
