Fast Facts
Lewis & Clark College rests on a 137-acre campus in the southwest hills of Portland. This private institution is known for its academic rigor and a focus on community involvement, having earned recognition as “A Best Western College” and “A College with a Conscience” by the Princeton Review. The student body — more than a third of which consists of first-generation students — can choose from among 26 academic majors and study abroad options in nearly two dozen countries to build their academic experience.

Lewis & Clark College is dedicated to enabling students to know the traditions of the liberal arts, to test boundaries through ongoing exploration, and to hand on to successive generations the tools and discoveries of this quest. By these means the College pursues the aims of all liberal learning: to seek knowledge for its own sake and to prepare for civic leadership.
