Centre College, a private, Presbyterian, liberal arts college founded in 1819, is known for its outstanding professors, beautiful 115-acre Greek Revival campus and remarkable alumni. By attracting and nurturing highly motivated students, the college has produced two-thirds of Kentucky’s Rhodes Scholars (postgraduate study at Oxford University) in the past 50 years and more than 34
Fulbright recipients (postgraduate study and work around the world). The Centre Commitment guarantees every student an internship, study abroad and graduation within four years or the college provides up to one additional year of tuition-free study. The college’s alumni include U.S. vice presidents, Supreme Court justices and the founder of Hard Rock Café.
