Founded in 1917, Anderson University is a four year, private liberal arts university affiliated with the Church of God.

The mission of Anderson University is to educate persons for a life of faith and service in the church and society. Established and sustained within the free and open traditions of the Church of God, this university is committed to being a teaching-learning community of the highest order, engaged in the pursuit of truth from a Christian faith perspective.

Athletics
NCAA Division III, Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, 17 varsity sports (8 men’s: baseball, basketball, cross-country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, and track & field; 9 women’s: basketball, cheerleading, cross-country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field, and volleyball), 20 intramural sports. 
 
Cost and Aid
2005-2006 $25,050 comprehensive ($18,900 tuition). In 2005, 99% of incoming first-year students received some financial aid. Average award package is $23,427.
