Fast Facts
Schreiner University has a tagline: “Learning by Heart.” This motto underscores its commitment to continuously, holistically, educating students both inside and outside of the classroom. It also refers to the faculty’s commitment to ensuring each student’s success. With a student body of 1,084, small class sizes and student-to-teacher ratio of 13:1, it isn’t hard for every professor to know each of his or her students. Primarily undergraduate, the university offers liberal arts, science and pre-professional majors and programs. Minorities comprise 26 percent of Schreiner’s student body and 41 percent are the first in their families to attend college. Schreiner is related to the Presbyterian Church (USA), but welcomes students, faculty and staff of all faiths.
