Wartburg College, College, affiliated with the Lutheran Church (ELCA), is recognized for outstanding liberal arts and pre-professional programs, competitive athletic teams, stellar music ensembles and active,involved students. Wartburg College has been nationally classified by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching as one of 62 colleges that foster community engagement in the curriculum and through community outreach and partnerships. The college’s high placement rates in jobs, graduate and professional schools includes an 89 percent medical school placement rate and 100 percent placement in other medical programs. Wartburg is included on a list of best Midwestern colleges and among top 200 colleges for science. The college administers more than $37 million in financial aid, providing access to students from a wide variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. The college is named after the Wartburg Castle in Eisenach, Germany.
